Note the statue of Lt. General George Washington in the middle just above the heads of the bandsmen. It is located at Washington Circle, 23rd and K and Pennsylvania and New Hampshire NW (1860). TITLE: Manpower, junior size. The spirit of '42. The Jefferson High School drum and bugle corps in Roanoke, Virginia started the junior commando rally with a fanfare and a drum roll. The US Marine Drummer is part of the US MARINE BAND based at Washington DC. The MB and DBC are the ONLY Marine Musical units authorized to wear the RED Tunic
