Wondering if they have any information that could help you. Also, if you can send them a photo of the undecipherable writing they might have the technology to enhance it to make it more readable. <br /><br />Another resource available to you is the (nearby) Yale Collection of Musical Instruments. As I recall they had a small but enviable collection of fifes and have recently acquired a collection of military drum sticks from Paul Munier (Mr. Munier have given much to The Company in the past), so their interest in "our" music and instruments might be helpful with your research on Webster.
